2026 Brevard Service Project Camp Weeks:
June 1 - 6
June 15 - 20
July 13 - 18 (FULL)
Service Project Camp is designed to give youth groups and individual middle school and high school students (6th - 12th graders) the chance to develop team-building skills in a fun and exciting camp environment. This missional minded camp is a unique opportunity for youth to take the next step in their Christian walk while having the time of their lives!
Here’s what to look forward to:
Campers will spend 3 - 4 hours each day working together on a service project on the Ridge Haven property.
Projects will mostly involve landscaping—including clearing brush, blazing new hiking trails, and building rock walls. Campers are not required to have any special skills to get the job done, just the willingness to roll up their sleeves and get a little dirt under their nails.
During the remainder of the day, campers can experience all the benefits of our normal camps, including worship times, awesome speakers, group games, and endless recreational activities.
Enjoy every kind of fun under the sun: Check out the activities we offer at our Brevard campus here and see our Cono activities here.
Grow closer to each other and closer to the Lord during special times of worship, devotion, and prayer.
Play and work with the guidance of dozens of hard-working summer staff who live out their faith every day.
Bring a Counselor Discount
Youth groups that opt to be accompanied by their own counselors receive $50 off per camper. A minimum of six campers per gender is required for this discount. Groups with male campers need to bring at least one male leader and groups with female campers must bring at least one female leader. One counselor for every 8-10 campers is the recommended ratio. Ridge Haven staff will act as liaisons to the cabin.
To attend as a group and receive the discounted rate, please contact our office at 828-862-3916.
2026 Brevard Service Project Camp Speakers
June 1 - 6: Wes Calton
Wes is the RUF campus minister at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. He grew up in a variety of places in the US, mostly the Carolinas and Georgia along with a few stints in Pennsylvania and Kansas sprinkled in, but has always loved the mountain west. With interests in mountain biking, skiing (or one planking), hunting, fishing, and just being outside, it’s not hard to guess why. But he is especially humbled to think that Jesus would call a messy sinner like himself into his kingdom and invite him to share that good news at Colorado State and to help serve the community of RUF at Colorado State. Wes is down to try just about any sport or hobby but also loves to drink good coffee and eat good food while meeting with old friends or making new ones.
Prior to coming to Fort Collins Wes served as the campus minister for RUF at Kennesaw State University for nine years. Wes graduated from Davidson College for undergrad and went on to Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC for his M. Div. He married his middle school sweetheart, Kelly, in 2009 (not in middle school at that time) and they have 4 kids, Walker, Pack, Whit, and Ann McClain. Not only does the whole family enjoy things like biking, skiing, and the outdoors, but they also love having students in their home for movie nights, dinners, and tagging along with RUF for conferences and events.
June 15 - 20: Chad Watkins
Chad is from Douglasville, GA and graduated from Berry College with a degree in Music Education. After finishing his studies at Berry he participated in a one-year internship with Campus Outreach in Thailand. During the course of his internship Chad developed a love for the Thai people and desired to return to Thailand for further ministry. He returned to the States to raise support in order to join Campus Outreach Thailand on a full-time basis. It was at this time that he married Michelle, the Campus Outreach staff girl at Berry College. They moved to Thailand together in 2005.
In their second year of ministry in Thailand Chad began to sense a strong desire to preach and he recognized the need for formal theological training to increase his effectiveness in ministry. The Watkins returned to the States and Chad enrolled in seminary at Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS) in Atlanta. After three years of intense study the Watkins moved to Columbus, MS where Chad took his first call as an Assistant Pastor at Main Street Presbyterian. Following four and a half years of fruitful ministry they moved to Asheville, NC to serve at Arden Presbyterian Church. He became the senior minister at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Fort Walton Beach, FL in June 2018.
July 13 - 18: Zac Martin
Zac grew up in Clanton, AL and came to know Jesus through the ministry of his parents and Bethsalem Baptist Church. He earned his B.A. at The University of South Alabama in 2016. After graduation, he joined our staff in January of 2017 and began his seminary training at Birmingham Theological Seminary. He graduated seminary in 2024 and was ordained in February of 2025. He has been married to Kaley, a professor at the University of Montevallo, since 2016. They welcomed their first son, Henry, in January 2023. Zac enjoys lawn care, Mexican food, the Cleveland Browns, and time with friends/family.
Junior and Senior Higher Campers can also attend either Junior High Camp or Senior High Camp!

“Being at Ridge Haven is such a great thing, because everyone around you has been given the gift of faith, and they are all there for you, all ready to encourage you, and to love you, even when it feels like the rest of your life is so hard that you can’t deal with it all. It reminded me that I am not alone, and that I always have Christ, and always will”
