February 17th - 20th, 2012

YoWAW is a one-of-a-kind missions and ministry learning opportunity for high school students and their leaders. Its design and purpose is to challenge and equip students for a life of ministry by allowing them to interact with those who are already involved in missions and ministry. Come and hear featured speaker Dr. Henry Krabbendam talk about the Gospel and the Great Commission while seminar leaders from around the PCA build on that foundation. For youth workers looking for practical advice and encouragement in their own ministry, a leader’s track will be available as well.

During free time at YoWAW, everybody will get the chance to experience Ridge Haven's thrilling snow tubing run (weather permitting) and have fun playing hockey, football, and other group games. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about getting involved in Kingdom work and using your gifts to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Speaker Dr. Henry Krabbendam

Henry Krabbendam was born in Rotterdam, Netherlands in 1935. He earned his BA in 1954 and his Master of Divinity in 1959 from the Theological University in the Netherlands. He married his wife, Beth, in 1960, and together they had four children.

From 1960-1969, he pastored several congregations in the Canadian Reformed and Orthodox Presbyterian Churches. During this time, he earned his Th.M. in Systematic Theology (‘62) and his Th.D. in Apologetics (‘69) from Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. Dr. Krabbendam then became a professor in the department of Biblical Studies at Covenant College in 1973 and retired in 2005.

He has also demonstrated his dedication to spreading the gospel by co-founding the Africa Christian Training Institute and serving on a variety of missions, including outreaches to Ireland, Kenya, Korea, Uganda, Australia, South Africa, and the Seychelles. In addition, reflecting his diverse interests and abilities, Dr. Krabbendam has served on the Advisory Board of The International Council of Biblical Inerrancy, the Steering Committee of the Congress on Revival and Reformation, and as a member of the Evangelical Theological Society.
