Design and Plan Your Own Retreat at Ridge Haven

Ridge Haven’s facilities are available for private group retreats accommodating up to 400 people.  We have all you need, including a variety of sleeping accommodations, meeting rooms, audio/visual equipment and dining arrangements that can make your youth group, singles’ or couples’ getaway, church family retreat, or elders’ planning retreat a memorable time of renewal, rest and recreation away from busy workaday schedules in this magnificent wilderness cathedral.

Our one and two bedroom apartments have full kitchen facilities.  Our lodges, with large great room, fireplace, kitchen, screened porch, six bedrooms upstairs and bunkrooms for 40 downstairs make for a great retreat under one roof for up to 52 people.  The downstairs bunkrooms are divided into two areas with space for 20 on each side plus separate bath areas.  Our three “bunkhouse” dorms sleep 44 people each within 50 yards of the cafeteria and large meeting room and 100 yards of a large pool and covered, lighted basketball court/recreation shelter.

Motel-type rooms come in variety of sizes with double beds, king size beds, twin beds, or double plus bunk beds, most with convenient under-the same-roof access to lounge areas/meeting rooms with refrigerators, stoves and fireplaces.  We also have RV campsites with full utility hookups and tent camping sites with bathhouse and picnic shelter.

Our cafeteria is open to groups of 30 or larger who require meals but also for individuals and families whose stay coincides with large groups eating in the cafeteria.  (Advance notice required.)  When the cafeteria is not already in use, groups of 15-30 may pay a surcharge for meals.

Recreation facilities include a covered, lighted basketball/volley ball court, new playgrounds for toddlers and small children, two large swimming pools, tennis courts, football/soccer playing field, climbing wall and high ropes course (trained instructor required—we can arrange) low ropes team building course, a large mud pit (the favorite of the summer camp kids) and miles and miles of fabulous hiking trails…and our very own waterfalls.  Whitewater rafting and snow skiing are located within an hour and half of Ridge Haven. (We can provide information on both.)

Ridge Haven is within an hour’s drive of Asheville (Biltmore House and many more tourist attractions), historic Hendersonville, Flat Rock, Cashiers, Highlands and thirty minutes from The Blue Ridge Parkway with some “top of the world” hiking trails.  Transylvania County is known as the “Land of the Waterfalls” with over 250 waterfalls.  Thus far over 180 wildflowers have been found, photographed and catalogued on Ridge Haven’s 900 acres—something is blooming all the time from early April to the first hard frost, usually in October.  The amazing variety of botanical life in the Blue Ridge Mountains, including trees, is unmatched in North America.

Our Christian world-view is unique, our prices are some of the best in the industry, and we want to serve you. Contact us for personal service to help us meet your particular needs!
