Many people not
familiar with life in the Ridge Haven Community and believing that all
there is to do is sit on a porch and rock away the days ask,
"What is there to do? What can people do to stay busy?" The
answer may be surprising! In addition to church and spiritual
opportunities, Ridge Haven residents who are not retired will not only
have their employment responsibilities to contend with but the many
additional opportunities and requests to help with and in the Center
and attending the abundant social opportunities. For those who are
officially "retired" from formal employment, Ridge Haven
activities include a multitude of volunteer opportunities such as...

remaining there are opportunities for friends and family get-togethers to swim, hike,
play tennis, fish, golf, tube, canoe, go sightseeing on the nearby
Blue Ridge Parkway and other scenic areas including the numerous
magnificent waterfall that abound within an hours drive, and/or just sit on the porch and
rock if that really is your need or fancy. |
