The Covenant Family Conference July 28- August 1 2008

Co-Sponsored by
Covenant Theological Seminary and
Ridge Haven Conference and Retreat Center

Building Families God's Way

In the tradition of our Bible-centered and Reformed conferences, Covenant Seminary and Ridge Haven jointly present the Covenant Family Conference. In the context of a family vacation and relaxing atmosphere and schedule, this conference provides an opportunity for covenant families, both parents and children, to explore God's gracious covenant and what it means for daily living and for today's families.

Speakers

Jimmy Agan and his family - wife Tricia and children Sarah Elizabeth, Caroline, Patrick, and Abby - have enjoyed a long-term relationship with Ridge Haven through various conferences, but are enjoying the Covenant Family Camp for the first time this year.  SC natives, they relocated in 2007 from Clemson, South Carolina, where he served as Sr. pastor of Clemson Pres., to St. Louis, where he now serves as Assoc. Professor of New Testament at Covenant Theological Seminary.  Family favorites while at Ridge Haven include waterfall hikes, ice cream at Rocky’s, and the “mud pit.”
Sean Michael LucasSean Lucas is married to his wonderful wife, Sara, and is father to his four children, Samuel, Elizabeth, Andrew, and Benjamin. In addition to coming to Ridge Haven for the third time, the Lucases also enjoy hanging out at St. Louis Cardinals games, reading books, playing board games, and hiking in western North Carolina. Having ministered on the pastoral staffs of churches in Kentucky and Missouri, Sean now serves as Chief Academic Officer and Associate Professor of Church History at Covenant Theological Seminary. He has written or edited four books, including On Being Presbyterian: Our Beliefs, Practices, and Stories.
