Ridge Haven would not exist without people like you! Over the years, hundreds of dedicated individuals have generously offered their time and efforts into building and maintaining this peaceful, God-breathed environment. Who will step up next?

For youth groups, we offer Group Service Project & Camp, a budget-friendly camp where Junior and Senior Highers work together on a landscaping project for 3-4 hours each afternoon. During the rest of the day, they get to have fun enjoying all the activities of our regular camps. This low-cost camping option is available at just $150-$195 per camper. Learn more.

For adult groups, we have several important projects available that will provide essential services for both present and future generations. We are able to offer both lodging ($6) and meals ($12) for $18 a day per person for adult groups working full days, just enough to cover our actual costs. If you prefer, you can cook your own meals in one of our fully-furnished lodge kitchens. Below are the projects that are currently available. Please contact us if you are interested

Construction Projects

Bike Shelter
Mountain biking is a fun and exciting way for guests and campers to explore the natural wonders of Ridge Haven’s 902-acre property. We are looking to build a small shelter to secure our bikes and make them easily accessible. The shelter would be 20 ft. long, 8 ft. wide, and 10 ft. high. Interested in helping?

What’s Required:

• Around 4-5 people for a 2-day project
• About $1,600 in costs

Wooden Roofing
Camping is a blast, but not if you have to sleep in the rain! With that in mind, workers are needed to improve our wilderness campsite by adding wooden roofs to our 5 sleeping shelters.

What's Required:

• 5-8 people for a 4-day project
• Around $300 per shelter for supplies

Inspiration Point Amphitheater
The peaceful seclusion of Ridge Haven's Inspiration Point provides a memorable meeting place for many visitors and campers. We want to enrich these special moments by building an amphitheater with a 360-degree view, and we could sure use your assistance.

Landscaping & General Improvements

Tree Clearing
Ridge Haven offers gorgeous mountain views, and we want to make sure everyone can enjoy them! Skilled loggers and/or lumberjacks are needed to clear out trees around our campus and provide unobstructed views of God's beautiful creation.

What's Required:

• About 120 man hours
• Between $300-$500 in costs.

Basic Landscaping
Our guests deserve a first-class experience -- that's why we need small groups of dedicated helpers to care for our existing landscaped areas. This will include cleaning up and mulching essential spots such as our rope courses, climbing tower, playgrounds and dorms.

What's Required:

• 4-6 people for around 2-4 days
• About $150 a day

Underground Gutters
Like getting your hands dirty? Then you're just who we're looking for! Our underground gutters need to be cleaned and possibly replaced. This important task will help us to maintain our buildings and continue to be good stewards of the facilities God has given us.

What's Required:

• 6-10 people for a 3-day project
• Around $500 in total cost

Trail Improvements
There's nothing quite like a hike through our nature trails! Unfortunately, winter storms often wreak havoc on these scenic pathways. That's where you come in. We need small, spirited teams willing to clear and ready these trails, as well as repair and construct rest benches, for our visitors year-round. Wood can be pre-cut here at Ridge Haven.

What's Required:

• Around $300 in total cost

Developing New Trails
Ever wanted to be a trail-blazer? Here's your chance! We want to clear the way for an even more adventurous and rewarding course that supplements our current hiking trails. All that's missing is your help.

What's Required:

• Anywhere from 6-20 people for 5-10 days
• Negligible costs

Firewood
One of the highlights on a chilly night is gathering around a warm, cozy fire. We want to make sure our winter, spring, and fall guests enjoy this simple pleasure by always having plenty of cut and split firewood available. And of course, we also need wood during summer camp season for campfire cooking and our famous, mouth-watering s'mores! Can you help us achieve this goal?

What's Required:

Dusk-to-Dawn Photocell Light Sensor at Robeson
The continued safety of Ridge Haven guests is essential to us. That's why we would like to provide uniform lighting between two of our main buildings, Robeson and Averett. By installing a photocell light sensor at Robeson that operates from dusk to dawn, we can ensure safety and security on our grounds at all times.
