Directions From the South or West Via I-85

  1. At the Georgia-South Carolina line, take Exit 1. Do not go into the Welcome Center, but take the exit ramp to SC Hwy 11 (The Cherokee Foothills Scenic Highway).
  2. SC 11 crosses back over I-85 and heads north.
  3. Follow SC 11 for approximately 47 miles to the 4-way stop, blinking light intersection at US 178.

  4. Turn left onto US 178 and follow approximately 14.5 miles up the mountain to the Ridge Haven turnoff.  You will pass the Red Lion Inn (about 2 miles before the turnoff).
  5. At the top of the uphill grade, just past the Ridge Haven sign on the left, turn left almost 180 degrees onto Road 1139, Old Toxaway Road.

  6. Follow the signs approximately 4 miles to Frozen Creek Road.

  7. Turn right onto Frozen Creek Road and look for the Ridge Haven entrance on your right.
